Yaya Toure to West Ham: Manuel Pellegrini insists it is not a priority to sign former Manchester City midfielder
Manuel Pellegrini believes West Ham have sufficient cover in midfield meaning the addition of Yaya Toure is not a priority for them.The Ivorian feels he can still play in the Premier League having left Manchester City at the end of last season and heading to Super League side Olympiakos.2

Now a free agent, Toure endured a disappointing spell at the Greek club, playing just five times in three months and hasturned down renewed offers from both the Chinese Super League and MLS.While Toure starred under Pellegrini and played a major part in winning the title for Manchester City, the Hammers boss remained coy about a possible reunion with the midfielder, something he previously ruled out.“I spoke with Yaya at the beginning of the season. Yaya is a great player, a top player that plays in every part of the role,” Pellegrini said.2

“I don’t know what happened with him in Greece. But in this moment we are just thinking about the next game that we are going to play and I don’t want to talk until the end of December about the window and which players that we need.“At this moment, I cannot answer your question. It’s not a priority as in that position we already have players.”Another former City midfielder, Samir Nasri, is training with West Ham and Pellegrini has said no decision on the player has yet to be reached.“Samir Nasri is still working with us the whole month. The same as I said with Yaya, we are just thinking about the games rather than changes that we are going to do in January.“Of course he is working with us, he is doing well and we will decide in the correct moment.”
